Extreme Sobriety/Rhoades to Recovery Non Profit Closes

During Covid19 Pandemic in 2020 and 2021 Steve could not engage in public speaking which is his main method of spreading the message of his ministry and fundraising. In the fall of 2021 the Board voted to close Rhoades to Recovery 501(C)(3) on December 31, 2021 after 10 successful years of Steve Rhoades Ministry of Presence giving Encouragement, Hope, Outreach and Support to people without shelter addicted to alcohol and other drugs and their families as well as veterans. We want to celebrate and thank every single person and organization that sponsored Steve Rhoades, contributed to Rhoades to Recovery and the many who volunteered on the Board of this organization making Steve’s Ministry possible. Steve’s work continues. He will be attempting the first stage of the Race to Alaska (R2AK) as this race returns in June of 2022. This 40 mile crossing from Port Townsend WA to Victoria BC that includes crossing the Straights of Juan de Fuca. Steve hopes to complete the crossing and gain coverage on the television program 60 minutes in order to share his story and save lives. Steve’s Ministry of Presence continues everywhere and whenever possible.
